Replace Missing Teeth with Crowns

Dental Crowns
Don’t hide your smile! Replace missing teeth with natural-looking crowns. When teeth are damaged beyond repair, porcelain or porcelain adhered to gold crowns can improve the look of your mouth.
Crowns not only repair some of the most severe dental issues by permanently replacing missing teeth, they also help you achieve a functional bite. With proper care, crowns can last for 20 to 30 years.
When are crowns recommended?
Crown and bridges are a long-lasting solution for dental problems caused by accidents, disease or normal wear and tear. For extreme dental problems, high-grade porcelain or porcelain bonded to gold can be used to create your crown.
Hairline cracks in the occlusal surface, or biting surface of the tooth can result in tooth pain.  Placing crowns on these teeth alleviates the pain and restores full dental function to these teeth. For front teeth, older fillings can both weaken the teeth and become stained or chipped. Porcelain crowns and bridges may be a suitable alternative when veneers are not a viable option. Crowns can also prevent breakage in teeth that had undergone Root Canal Treatment.
How long does the crown procedure take?
Usually, a crown can be completed in two visits. During the first visit we will remove the decay, take impressions and shape the tooth, and fit it with a temporary plastic or metal crown.
At your second visit, we will remove the temporary crown, and then fit and adjust the final crown. (For a crown being placed on a tooth that is visible when you smile, custom shading and staining with the laboratory is necessary and arrangements will have to be made for this procedure).   Finally, we will cement the crown into place.
Important Benefits of a Dental Crown:
